Nature, rock formations, and far-reaching views

Immerse yourself in one of the most fascinating hiking regions in Germany: the Dahn Rockland in the Palatinate Forest Nature Park – a UNESCO biosphere reserve since 1992. A picture-book landscape awaits you: uniquely shaped sandstone rock formations, mysterious forests, quiet valleys, and castle ruins shrouded in legend. Rock formations such as the Jungfernsprung, the Lämmerfelsen, or the legendary Teufelstisch (Devil’s Table) are especially impressive. Hikes lead to ever-new viewpoints, offering sweeping panoramas over the Palatinate Forest and as far as Alsace in France. Whether on the Felsenpfad trail, the Elwetritscheweg trail, or the Castle tour – hiking in the Palatinate with an overnight stay blends nature and history into unforgettable moments.

The Wasgaublick: barrier-free hiking enjoyment

The Dahn Rockland also offers a true natural highlight for guests of Pfalzblick with limited mobility: the barrier-free Wasgaublick, reachable by car. From the hotel, you follow the route via Hasenberg, past the “Braut und Bräutigam” (Bride and Groom) rock formations and the Felsland Badeparadies pool, up to the car park at the Grosser Eyberg. From there, a short, well-developed path leads to the viewing platform – ideal for wheelchair and rollator users. Another beautiful vantage point is the castle view behind Altdahn Castle.

On site you’ll find:
