We keep your bike safe and dry: you can conveniently park your bike in our bicycle garage at car park P2 above the hotel building. If you haven’t brought your own bike on holiday with you but would still like to enjoy a two-wheeled adventure, head to FBA Cycling in Bundenthal, where you’ll be sure to find the perfect rental bike for you.

Overview of the best bike tours in the Palatinate Forest

German-French Pamina Bike Trail Lautertal

The Pamina Bike Trail runs for 75 kilometres directly past the resort and through the beautiful landscape of the Palatinate Forest and Alsace. 57km in Germany, 18km in France – almost without hills.

Our tip: Start your tour at the resort and cycle along the Wieslauter river and the Lauter river to Wissembourg.

Biosphere Tour

The Biosphere Tour takes you 35 kilometres through the beautiful Palatinate Forest-North Vosges UNESCO biosphere reserve. The route runs mostly on forest agricultural tracks that take you through dense forests and idyllic stream valleys.

Would you like it a little more leisurely? Start the circular tour in Dahn, cycle via Neudahner Weiher to Fischbach, on to Rumbach, and then return to Dahn.

Schmuggler Tour

This 17-kilometre circular tour offers varied landscapes with mixed forests, meadows, and beautiful villages. It leads from Schönau across the German-French border, past the Fleckensteiner Weiher bathing lake, through picturesque villages and a meadow valley. A steep climb to the Col de Wengelsbach makes the tour challenging before the descent. Refreshment tip: Restaurant Au Wasigenstein in Wengelsbach.

Seerosen Tour

The Seerosen (water lily) Tour takes you 25.4 kilometres past natural ponds and lakes that serve as habitats for flora and fauna. This relaxed route is perfect for families and couples and offers romantic moments along the Braut & Bräutigam and Lämmerfelsen rock formations, as well as the Altdahn castle complex with Grafendahn and Tanstein.

A highlight of the tour is the Rohrwoog natural bathing lake, ideal for a cosy break.

Mountain Bike Park Palatinate Forest

The MTB Park Palatinate Forest offers 900 kilometres of routes for every level, providing incredible riding fun and challenging trails. A particular highlight is premium trail no. 4, which is a real challenge with 62 kilometres and 17 kilometres of single trails.

For our guests: The start of trail no. 13, the “Dahn-Mitte-Tour” (80km), is just a few minutes away from the hotel – ideal for real adventurers!
