The idyllic landscape of the Palatinate forest and wine region, the natural wonders of our rock formations and the castles in the region make up the charm of Dahn for cyclers and mountain bikers.

A bike path network of more than 900 kilometers awaits you directly at the hotel's doorstep and leads you into the romantic corners of the Dahn Rockland and to the most beautiful attractions in the Palatinate and Alsace.

For everyone who prefers a steep climb and an athletic challenge over a leisurely tour, there is the Palatinate Forest Mountain Bike Park. It is one of Germany's largest mountain bike parks and offers more than 900 kilometers of well-marked trails. 

Information: You can park your bike securely in the Hotel Pfalzblick. If you don't want to bring your own bike simply rent one in Dahn.

German-French Pamina Bike Trail Lautertal

The German-French Pamina Bike Trail Lautertal connects the Palatinate Forest, Rhine Valley and Alsace on 75 km. 57 km are on the German side and 18 km are on the French side. Take a leisurely bicycle tour through our enchanting region – there are almost no hills on this bike path.

The start is in Hinterweidenthal – from there you can bike along the Wieslauter River and the Lauter River to Wissembourg. The last part of the trail leads through the Bienwald woods to the Rhine ferry Neuburg-Neuburgweier.

Biosphere Tour

The Biosphere Tour will bring you right into the heart of the Palatinate Forest-North Vosges Biosphere Reserve. A large part of the approx. 35km trail runs along forest agricultural roads which lead you through thick forests and idyllic river valleys. Plan to spend some time at the Biosphere House and the wonderful tree-top path in Fischbach.

There are two climbs on the Biosphere Tour. The circular tour is slightly less strenuous if you ride from Dahn through the Neudahner Weiher to Fischbach and then on to Rumbach and back to Dahn.

Palatinate Forest Mountain Bike Park

The Palatinate Forest Mountain Bike Park keeps getting better. In 2016 it was expanded by 15 routes – that means there are now 900 km of mountain bike challenges and riding fun in a legendary region.

By the way, trail number 4 is a premium trail – the entire route of 62 km includes 17 km of single trails.
